“I met Gabby a year ago as I had just begun to start actively thinking about my health and fitness. As someone who was very overweight, I had a number of health problems related to my weight, but always found gym culture to be very intimidating and anxiety inducing.
One thing I appreciate the most is that both the music Gabby chooses in class and her spirit of playfulness really pushes against the hegemony of fitness culture, and makes it far more accessible to people (like me ) who were intimidated by it. Meeting Gabby helped me through my difficulties when i started, and my first major plateau.
I highly recommend anyone starting out, or anyone looking for something far more playful in their workouts. Without her intervention, I don’t think i’d be as fit and healthy as I am now!”
